Natural Laundry Freshener
4 drops wild thyme essential oil
4 drops lavender essential oil
Add to laundry machine while the water is filling the drum. Allow drum to fill ½ full before adding clothes
Powerful Air Freshener
4 drops wild thyme
3 drops pine needle
2 drops lemon or lavender
Drop onto a scent ball pad and diffuse
Moth-Away Sachet
Cedar chips or wood shavings
3 drops each lavender and geranium essential oils
5 drops each lemon and pine essential oils
Optional: Dry lavender flowers, clean pine needles, or 1 drop patchouli.
Combine all ingredients and place in a muslin bag.
Lavender Pore Tightening Mask for Oily Skin
2 teaspoons bentonite clay
2 teaspoons witch hazel
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 drops lavender essential oil
1 drop wild thyme essential oil
Mix the witch hazel and bentonite clay to make a paste. In separate bowl, beat the egg lightly. Add to the paste. Apply to face and leave for 10 minutes. Rinse off with cold water.
Safer Antibacterial Hand Soap
4 ounces unscented liquid soap (castile)
2 ounces aloe Vera gel
2 ounces purified water
2 teaspoons vegetable glycerin
1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoons vegetable oil
40 drops lavender
15 drops wild thyme
38 drops pink grapefruit
20 drops bergamot
18 drops red mandarin
1 teaspoon jojoba oil
Combine ingredients and store in a ceramic soap pump dispenser.
Three Relaxing Evening Baths
3 drops lavender 5 drops lavender 2 drops geranium
3 drops sandalwood or 3 drops ylang-ylang
3 drops bergamot 1 drop rose 3 drops clary sage
Rosemary Lavender Milk Bath
½ Cup powdered buttermilk
½ cup nonfat powdered milk
¾ cup fine sea salt
½ cup Dead Sea salt
25 drops lavender essential oil
12 drops wild rosemary essential oil
Combine essential oils with fine sea salt in a glass bowl. Stir with a wooden spoon to distribute oils evenly through the salt. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Store in a glass container. Use about 1/3 cup of the mixture for each bath. Add dried lavender for additional color. This recipe makes bath salts for 6 or 7 baths.
Relaxing Blue Bath Salts
4 drops neroli
3 drops sweet marjoram
3 drops lavender
¼ cup Epsom salts
¼ capsule super algae
Combine all ingredients. Makes enough for 1 bath. Two tablespoons of glycerin can also be added to this recipe to prevent the skin from becoming too dry.
Forest Fresh Body Moisturizer and Gentle Bath Oil
2 ounces NSP massage oil
4 drops ylang-ylang essential oil
2 drops sandalwood essential oil
3 drops pine needle essential oil
2 drops clary sage essential oil
1 drop lavender essential oil
Combine ingredients in a 2 ounce amber bottle. Add 1 teaspoon to a running bath. The oils will adhere to your skin as you enter and leave the bath. Use additional oil on wet skin immediately after bathing, before toweling dry.
