Fatigue Fighting Lifestyle
March 9, 2023
Work, family and a lively social calendar make maintaining your stamina a challenge. Sometimes, despite our efforts to maintain enthusiasm, the little things we do each day sabotage our energy levels. By tweaking your daily habits, you can find yourself never running out of steam.
FIND A RHYTHMIC ROUTINE
Set your internal clock by creating a regular sleep schedule. Going to bed and waking up at different times can lead to chronic fatigue. Find a schedule that works for your life and stick to it.
Getting a good night’s sleep is paramount to having an energy-filled day, so make sure you’re getting enough sleep and regulating your sleep schedule for the best rest.
START YOUR MORNING HYDRATED AND FUELED
Reach for water first! Drinking water before coffee, tea, or eating ensures your organs are hydrated and your blood and brain are oxygenated. More oxygen = more alertness. Try to drink at least 16 oz of water before leaving the house.
After hydrating, breaking your fast with a good protein source is a great way to boost energy naturally. Sugar and carbohydrates unaccompanied by protein can cause your body to fall into a downward energy spiral.
EXERCISE REGULARLY
When it comes to fighting fatigue, exercise is a great energy booster. Studies show that the more you move, the more you want to move.
