Cirque Series Race Recap: Alta, UT 2025
August 25, 2025
SUNSHINE, SUMMITS, AND SMILES
The 2025 Cirque Series stop at Alta was a day to remember. Under streaks of clouds and intense sunlight, runners and spectators alike soaked up the high-alpine energy, creating exactly the kind of mountain celebration that makes the Cirque Series so special.
CELEBRATING THE PROS
Congratulations to Nature's Sunshien Mountain Team athlete Alexa Aragon, who took first place in the Women’s Pro division, and to Mason Coppi, who powered his way to first in the Men’s Pro division. Their grit and speed set the tone for an inspiring day on the trails. Alexa made it to the top of Mt. Baldy and back to the finish line in 1:14:39, with Mason finishing with at 1:00:36!
SERIES STANDINGS
Nature’s Sunshine Pro McKennon “Fred” Woltman still leads the overall Cirque Series standing in first place, with Mason Coppi closing in fast. With three more races to go, the competition is heating up and the drama only continues to build.
Alexa Aragon's Alta win puts her in a VERY close second place to the amazing Jamie Brusa... perhaps we will see an overtake in Targhee?
THE LEXI AWARD
At every Cirque race, one athlete is honored with the Lexi Award, given to someone who inspires and embodies the spirit of the series. At Alta, we couldn’t have been prouder to see Paige Larsen, our very own summer marketing intern, receive this recognition. Paige has been an integral part of every Cirque race this season, but Alta was her first time on course as a runner. She not only raced well and finished strong, but also stopped mid-race to help another athlete battling the effects of altitude and dehydration. Paige’s sportsmanship perfectly reflects the supportive energy that makes the Cirque Series community so special.
