Cirque Series Race Recap: Alyeska, Alaska 2025

    High alpine drama, wild beauty and clear skies—Alyeska’s July 26 race delivered perfect weather, breathtaking views, and a standout performance by the Nature’s Sunshine team.

     

     

    Alyeska – July 26, 2025

     

    • Course Highlights: 6.1 miles with 3,912 ft vertical gain. Starting nearly at sea level from the DayLodge, athletes climbed via Tanaka Cat Road, Silvertip singletrack, and the steep Center Ridge scramble—reaching the Headwall at 3,800 ft. From there, runners trekked ridge runs, loose rock, alpine heather, and descended steeply through Max’s Mountain trail back to the finish at DayLodge. 
    • Conditions: After earlier rough weather, the skies cleared beautifully for race day—delighting local runners and letting the Chugach Mountains shine.

     

    Local Community & Vendor Village

     

    The vendor area showcased many Alaska-based businesses, giving the race a strong local feel and community energy. Support from regional vendors added an authentic touch to the race-day vibe.

     

    Nature’s Sunshine — Front and Center

     

    • Athletes from the Nature’s Sunshine “Be More Earth” team claimed top podium spots, signaling strong representation and performance.
    • Every participant received a 7-pack box of Power Greens—fuel for recovery and energy.
    • At the Nature’s Sunshine booth, racers had the chance to sample Power Beets for endurance and Brain Edge for focus—energizing both body and mind.

    Nature's Sunshine athlete Mckennon "Fred" Woltman is having a dominant 2025 season. After a strong showing at Alyeska, he currently leads as #1 in the Cirque Series Pro Division standings!

    With consistent top-tier finishes across multiple venues, Fred is on track to win the coveted “PEAK FREAK” belt buckle and $1,500 cash prize awarded to the season’s top overall male athlete. His combination of grit, speed, and consistency makes him a fan favorite and a serious contender as the series heads into its final races.
