2025 Impact Report: Progress for People and Planet
August 12, 2026
At a Glance:Nature’s Sunshine has released its 2025 Impact Report, celebrating meaningful progress toward a healthier future for people and planet. As our five-year impact goals come to a close, we’re celebrating major achievements in renewable energy, waste reduction, responsible sourcing and community impact—while looking ahead to an even brighter future.
LIVING ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
For more than 50 years, Nature’s Sunshine has traveled the world in search of some of Earth’s most powerful herbs and botanicals. But finding remarkable ingredients is only part of our responsibility.
We believe caring for the people, communities and ecosystems that make those ingredients possible is just as important.
Our newly released 2025 Impact Report, themed Live on the Bright Side, shares the progress we’ve made toward creating a healthier, more sustainable future—and celebrates the people around the world helping make it possible.
CELEBRATING OUR 2025 IMPACT GOALS
Several years ago, Nature’s Sunshine established five ambitious goals designed to increase our positive impact on people and the planet. With the 2025 goal period now complete, there is a lot worth celebrating.
100% Renewable Energy at Owned Manufacturing — ACHIEVED
Our primary manufacturing facility in Spanish Fork, Utah, sources 100% of its electricity needs through renewable solar contracts. In 2025, those contracts helped us avoid approximately 1,390 tons of CO2 emissions.
Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions — SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS
We set an ambitious goal to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 50%. By the end of 2025, we achieved a 41% reduction in global GHG emissions. The lessons and progress from these efforts will help provide a foundation for our next generation of impact goals.
Zero Waste to Landfill — ACHIEVED
Our U.S. distribution centers achieved TRUE Zero Waste certification, valid through 2025, reflecting years of work to rethink waste, increase recycling and make better use of the resources that move through our operations.
Our goal was to reduce waste at our owned manufacturing facility by 35%. Growth in global production shifted strategic priorities in 2025, but our teams continue to build on the efforts that brought us to 94% of this goal in 2024.
Sharing the Healing Power of Nature with 1 Million Women and Children — ACHIEVED
Through donations, events and the global partners of our Impact Foundation, we achieved our goal of sharing the healing power of nature with more than 1 million women and children ahead of schedule.
WELLNESS, SHARED WITH THE WORLD
Our impact extends beyond the products we make. In 2025, Nature’s Sunshine employees and partners continued finding meaningful ways to strengthen communities around the world.
Across the company, 460 volunteers contributed 711 volunteer hours during 2025.
In the United States, volunteers packed and shipped 105,624 meals for vulnerable communities in Cambodia and Zambia—enough to provide 289 children with a meal every day for an entire year.
Our continued partnership with Vitamin Angels provided nutritional support to another 100,000 people in 2025, helping address malnutrition and promote wellness in vulnerable communities.
Additional efforts stretched across the globe, from donating children's backpacks and school supplies in Canada to supporting child-abuse prevention programs in Japan, disaster relief in Myanmar and a 100-participant blood drive in Indonesia.
Closer to home, 64 Nature’s Sunshine employees came together on Earth Day for our company-sponsored community clean-up in Lehi, Utah, collecting trash, recycling materials and helping restore local green spaces.
SUSTAINABILITY STARTS AT THE SOURCE
Nature provides the ingredients at the heart of what we do, which means protecting those ingredients begins long before they arrive at our manufacturing facility.
We source hundreds of unique raw ingredients and botanicals from ecosystems around the world, working with farmers, wildcrafters and suppliers to improve transparency, encourage responsible harvesting practices and protect biodiversity.
Our teams consider where ingredients come from, how they are cultivated or harvested, ecosystem sensitivity, regeneration times and the potential for overharvesting. We also work to build long-term supplier relationships that support more predictable income for the communities responsible for cultivating and collecting these botanicals.
One example highlighted in this year's report is baobab, the fruit of Africa's iconic “Tree of Life.” Local women collect and deliver baobab fruit to nearby manufacturing sites, creating economic opportunities through sustainable harvesting. Because baobab naturally dries on the tree, its fruit can also be harvested and processed with less need for energy-intensive processing.
It’s a powerful example of how responsible sourcing can create social, environmental and economic benefits at the same time.
