The 2026 Cirque Series season is underway.
Athletes from across North America gathered at Cannon Mountain on Saturday, June 13, for the second-ever Cirque Series race in New Hampshire. With bluebird skies, warm temperatures, and incredible mountain views, the White Mountains delivered a spectacular backdrop for opening day.
From the first racers charging uphill to the final finishers crossing the line, the energy was unmistakable: mountain running season has officially arrived.
One interesting takeaway from race day: despite sunny skies and seemingly ideal conditions, many athletes reported that this year's race felt more challenging than last year's rain-soaked inaugural event. Warmer temperatures appeared to take their toll, and remarkably, several of the fastest times from 2025's muddy course still held up against this year's results.
