Nature's Sunshine Celebrates Earth Day with Local Park Cleanup

    April 22, 2025

In celebration of Earth Day 2025, more than 60 employees from Nature's Sunshine stepped out of the office and into the crisp spring air to do some good. Lehi’s Jordan Narrows park, just a few blocks north of Nature’s Sunshine, offers a running track, a looping trail and a grassy field. The goal for Earth Day: Clean it all up, restore that patch of earth—and have some fun doing it.

    Truckloads of Trash—Gone

With gloves on, buckets and bags in hand, the crew tackled everything from food wrappers to abandoned furniture. Among the most surprising finds was a soggy couch hiding in plain sight on the Jordan Narrows’ hillside, likely forgotten for years. Truckloads of trash were removed in under two hours.

Fresh Air, Big Smiles, and Real Results

The work wasn’t just productive—it was rewarding. “Great to be out smiling with friends in the springtime,” said Nature’s Sunshine Manager Jake Rothfels. “It’s rewarding to see the before and after. I like running around this trail and it has needed to have a solid Earth Day party.” Others from the group remarked on the exercise, camaraderie and satisfaction of the transformation. The park’s running tracks, roadways, and hillsides were cleared and made ready for warm-weather visitors to enjoy.

    Community Collaboration at Its Best

This project was made possible through partnership with the Lehi City Parks Department, who supplied tools, trucks and trash receptacles, and Nature's Sunshine's own Impact Foundation, which organized the service initiative. It was a true community effort, showing what can be accomplished when many hands come together for a shared cause.
